Important Transportation Information - Please Read

Transportation is available for anyone who would like to be driven to and from each backpacking trip from a predetermined meeting location. You will be dropped off at the same location where you are picked up. Two meeting locations are offered: Civic Center in San Francisco and Downtown San Jose. Pickup times differ based on the trip and will be listed below. Pickup times may change prior to the trip. You will receive text and email notifications if this occurs. Drop off times vary depending on the group's hiking pace, but will typically be within one to four hours of the trip's ending time listed on each trip's information page.

Please arrive early to meeting locations. The driver will wait no more than five minutes after the scheduled pickup time before departing. To find the vehicle, go to the exact coordinates listed for your selected meeting location. The vehicle will be parked as close as possible with hazard lights on, and the driver will be standing outside to greet you. To reserve a seat, select the transportation option on the trip sign up page. Once you have registered, you will receive additional details by email before the trip.

If you would like to be picked up and dropped off at your home or another address, you may submit a preferred pickup location during registration. Based on the number of riders and the location of your address, the driver may be able to accommodate your location instead of one of the standard meeting points. This option is not guaranteed. You will be notified by text or email before the trip if a custom pickup and drop off location can be arranged. If it cannot, you are required to choose one of the predetermined meeting points as a backup.
